Crafted with a Purpose
Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) is an exceptionally dense hardwood known for its deep brown tones and remarkable strength. Its tight grain allows for precise shaping and a smooth, durable finish that holds up beautifully over time. Paired with the warm reddish hues of Cherry, the combination offers a refined contrast—balancing richness with a softer, natural warmth that highlights both materials.

Each pair of chopsticks begins with a carefully chosen piece of hardwood, selected for its grain and character. Both sticks are crafted from the same piece, creating a naturally matched pair. From there, each blank is shaped by hand—planed and sanded to a fine taper, then refined into a subtle faceted form near the top before being smoothed into its final shape. The tips are rounded and finished entirely by hand, giving each pair a precise yet natural feel.

The finishing process is slow and deliberate. Multiple coats of tung oil are applied, with drying and sanding between each layer, followed by a final cure. The chopsticks are then polished with wax to achieve their smooth, refined finish. This allows the oil to penetrate and harden within the wood, enhancing durability while preserving the natural feel and grain.
