Unlike mass-produced chopsticks, each pair is shaped and finished entirely by hand. The refined taper, precise tips, and smooth surface create a more controlled and intentional dining experience, while the Walnut rest adds both function and visual contrast.

Crafted with a Purpose
Bloodwood is a dense, exotic hardwood prized for its deep red color and smooth, fine grain. It offers a striking, bold appearance while maintaining a solid, balanced feel in the hand. Over time, the rich tones deepen, adding character with use. The Walnut rest provides a natural contrast with its dark brown hues and flowing grain, creating a warm and visually balanced pairing.

Each pair of chopsticks begins with a carefully chosen piece of hardwood, selected for its grain and character. Both sticks are crafted from the same piece, creating a naturally matched pair. From there, each blank is shaped by hand—planed and sanded to a fine taper, then refined into a subtle faceted form near the top before being smoothed into its final shape. The tips are rounded and finished entirely by hand, giving each pair a precise yet natural feel. The finishing process is slow and deliberate. Five coats of tung oil are applied, with days of drying and sanding between each layer, followed by a final cure. The chopsticks are then polished with stone and beeswax to achieve their smooth, refined finish. From start to finish, each pair takes 20 to 30 days to complete—resulting in chopsticks defined by precision, balance, and a uniquely smooth feel in the hand.
